I compared Christian Faith Publishing to other publishing options and the one aspect I noticed is that Christian Faith has fewer titles on the market than the others. I completely understand that at the time I started this publishing process Christian Faith was in their second or third year but it also indicated a “True” selectivity of the manuscripts they publish. I am very proud to be in their catalog of titles and have had a wonderful experience working with everyone on the team.

ReplyDeleteI encourage you to reach out to your Publication Specialist as they are your point of contact and can fix any concerns you might have at the very beginning stages of the publishing process.
We always tell authors that the process takes between 4 and 6 months to complete the files start to finish. Unlike other publishers we do not limit the number of revisions we allow our authors to make because at the end of the day we want a title that the author and the publisher can be proud of. With that said we have NEVER had a manuscript in editing for 6 months. That simply just doesn't happen. Your own experience having received your edited manuscript back after 30 days of signing your publishing contract with only 5 errors speaks volumes of the professional staff of editors CFP employs.
During the editing process we need your revisions or instructions in writing in order to document them. Going through it over the phone is not efficient or accurate. This is the system that we have found works the best in order to limit the amount of mistakes.
Just like in editing, page layout or cover design we allow the authors to make changes to the work being completed. Your friend was unhappy with her first book trailer...we will simply do it again until they are satisfied.
I am sorry you have these frustrations at this point because it is a process and some titles take longer than others, but the takeaway here is that CFP will do whatever we can to satisfy the author regardless of how many revisions it might take.
