Dr. Carol M. Swain is an award-winning political scientist, a former professor of political science and professor of law at Vanderbilt University, and a lifetime member of the James Madison Society, an international community of scholars affiliated with the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University. In October 2012, Professor Swain launched the Be The People TV Show under the auspices of Eagle Wings Media, LLC.  Forty-two episodes aired between October 2012 and July 2014.  The show debuted on an NBC affiliate Channel 4, WSMV. in Nashville, TN.  According to the Nielsen ratings, the highest audience reached on WSMV’s midnight time slot was 46,000 households.   In February 2014, Be the People TV moved to Fox 17 (WZTV).  The show aired its final episode in July 2014.  Since then, Be the People TV has operated as a blog for conservative thought.  Past episodes are archived on Be the People’s Youtube Channel.

This is Suzanne Fournier’s journey from a stay-at-home mom of seven to a senior government leader and of how she did it.

At age forty, she went back to work as a clerk for the Army. She had seven children at home, aged from kindergarten through high school, no degree and no job for fifteen years—not exactly a ticket to a successful career.

Fast forward twenty-five years, she retired as the highest communication director for a Washington, D.C. government agency. She represented highly controversial topics such as the aftermath of Katrina, destruction of World War II chemical weapons, and educating Americans about the threat of chemical, biological, and nuclear terrorism.

She met members of Congress and White House staffers and served as an expert speaker and media spokesperson.

Something new we have started to do at Christian Faith Publishing is have our staff pick some of their favorite titles on a monthly basis. These favorites could be because the author was wonderful to work with, the story-line was riveting or the writing was exceptional. Somehow the title had a positive impact on our staff and thus was selected.

One of this months "Staff Picks" is a book written by Chris Benyo and his wife Denise DiMarzo, All In: Living not Dying with ALS.

Christian Faith Publishing Exceeded My Expectations!

Editing and cover design were my priorities. They also turned out to be the most enjoyable for me as I learned what the process of editing was first hand and I learned the proper way to write in a formal manner. The designed turned out to be rather exciting as I didn't know exactly what to expect. However, with merely the simplest of descriptions the cover is precisely what I had in mind and reflected what I was trying to convey. Insofar as picking a publisher I was interested in a facility that could accomplish all the aspects of getting a book published in house. CFP did provide this service and with the convenience of an installment plan for payment CFP was kind of a no brainer. Paula exceeded my expectations throughout the process and kept me apprised of every step. Paula answered every email expeditiously and provided a speedy resolution.

CFP exceeded all of my expectations and I fully intend to seek out CFP to publish my second book which is 99% complete. I have also already made two recommendations to other perspective authors to inquire with CFP.

Christian Faith Publishing Wants to Review Manuscripts When Other Publishers Ask For Money

To be brutally honest, I was looking for a publisher to show some interest in publishing my story! Christian Faith Publishing was the only publisher who suggested I send a manuscript to be reviewed, when all the others I contacted said to send the money. When my story was accepted, I was extremely pleased, and continued to be extremely pleased with every single aspect of the process. Penning Poems, Accomplishing Goals and Creating Legacies

Some may think that publishing a book at age 83 may be daunting, but for Thomas Karman, resident at The Village at Orchard Ridge—A National Lutheran Community, it was an opportunity to preserve a legacy for his family and share a message with the world. His book, Thoughts on Parade, Observations From The Sidewalk, is a collection of his spirited poetic life’s work with a reminder to always have faith in God.

Born and raised in Germany during World War II, Karman wrote his first poem at 13-years-old; though his understanding of the war-torn world he lived in was limited by his youth, he penned an emotional piece titled War—Never Again. As his view of the world expanded, so did the content of his written works.

All In, Christian Faith Publishing Author Chris and Denise Benyo Featured on NCTV

When Chris Benyo and Denise DiMarzo got married, everything seemed possible. But just six months after the wedding things took a turn for the worse when Denise was diagnosed with the motor neuron disease, ALS.

Now five years into the disease, ALS has stripped her of the abilities to do everyday activities like walk and talk.  But it hasn’t stopped her from staying true to a promise she and her husband made when they fell in love, through running.

“That was the whole plan when we got married in 2010, that she’d put in the training and we would run together and where she wanted to if she put in the training. Now were doing the next best thing that we can,” said Benyo, Denise’s Husband.

For them, that means still completing marathons, but in a different way. This is what preparing for a run looks like for Denise now.

Chris and a team of friends push Denise in a specially designed jogger throughout the races they’ve run since her diagnosis. All in an effort to give Denise the satisfaction athletes yearn for.

“When you have pushed yourself to the limit and moments of triumph when you’ve completed the goal, it takes your time, your complete determination and sheer willpower to stay in it and not give up,” said DiMarzo.

"A Run To Remember" Christian Faith Publishing Author Chris Benyo Featured on NCTV

“I’ll always run for Denise, she’ll always be on my mind, I’ll always wear something to remember when she passed because she was such an incredible person,” said Chris Benyo.

When Chris Benyo and Denise DiMarzo met, they not only fell in love with each other, but also with running.

Six months after marrying, however, Denise was diagnosed with ALS. But together they decided that would not put their love of running to an end.

Denise died this year on July 23, after battling ALS for over five years. But in an effort to keep their dream of running ten marathons together by 2016 alive, Chris kept on running.

“The point was this isn’t about me, this was about Denise and keeping her spirit alive and it was something she wanted to do and I know she was there participating in whatever way she could even though she wasn’t there,” said Chris.

He recently completed the Chicago Marathon, pushing Denise’s jogger, and carrying with him her spirit.

Joseph Lim, author and father, recently wrote a book about his son, Jordan, who has autism and diabetes. It chronicles his experiences (the joys and the struggles, the triumphs and setbacks, the ups and downs) being the parent of a special child. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to selected charities for autism, diabetes and special kids.
